Behind mailbox.org is the Berlin-based family business Heinlein Support GmbH, whose origins date back to 1992. CEO Peer Heinlein took over as a teenager the still existing Internet & e-mail provider JPBerlin , which he incorporated into Heinlein Support GmbH in 2004. The Heinlein Support team today has over 30 employees and is one of the most well-known and sought-after network, Linux and mail server specialists in Germany. We pass on our knowledge and experience to other providers and companies at our Heinlein Academy , in personal Linux consulting or server hosting in our data centers. As part of the Snowden affair, the decision was made to launch an e-mail service that sets new standards in privacy and security. In 2014, we launched mailbox.org as a secure, ad-free, and privacy-friendly e-mail provider - the easy-to-use alternative to seemingly free, e-mail-driven e-mail offerings. Since then, we have been one of the innovation drivers in the industry with many new and unusual ideas and are particularly pleased with achievements such as the winner of the Stiftung Warentest test winner out of 14 tested e-mail services in 2015 and 2016.
